About Amrita PritamAmrita Pritam, born on August 31, 1919, in Gujranwala, Punjab, British India (modern-day Pakistan), was an Indian poet, essayist, novelist, and author.Amrita Pritam primarily wrote in the languages of Hindi and Punjabi and was a well-known figure in Punjabi literature.
