Lycorhinus was a species discovered in Cape Town.In the ’20s, a researcher found partial fossils, including maximalle and teeth. An inspection of the Lycorhinus specimen revealed it to be a new genus of heterodontosaurid.Lycorhinus was a small-sized dinosaur with a wolf-like snout. Due to multiple specimens, there has been a lot of debate regarding the description of these species. Paleontologists have named multiple type species of this genus, however, all of them have been renamed except for one - Lycorhinus angustidens. The typical characteristic of a snout as seen by the specimen’s fragments led the species to be relegated as a member of the heterodontosaurid family.
